Simplify their diet. Cut out all the extras and avoid giving your dog table scraps or human food. They don’t have the same digestive system as ours, so if some foods are good for you they are not necessarily good for your dog! Make sure your dog is getting a balanced diet which can be achieved by providing them with the right amount of nutrients: water, vitamins, minerals, protein, fats and carbohydrates. Some dogs love foraging for scraps or eat anything that they find on their way! Therefore, be watchful and try to make them stay away from these questionable foods.
Make sure they don’t gulp down their food too quickly because when dogs eat too fast they will ingest a lot of air. Instead of giving them one big meal per day, divide the quantity into smaller portions and spread the mealtimes throughout the day. Learn more about how to feed a dog.
